The first detail is that it is a song that the Icelandic artist wrote twenty years ago. A topic that never saw the light of day and is called Oral. “I feel like I’m thirty years old when I sing this song and so does she,” says the artist.
The artist was inspired by Dancehall from two decades ago to write it. This Jamaican genre is one of the precursors of reggaeton. “Rosalía’s last album was inspired by Reggaetón, so I thought of her. I’ve known her for a few years and decided to send her a message. She replied: ‘Yes, I’m with you!’
Although everything he earns from the song will go towards activism against large Icelandic fish farms, the theme of the song has nothing to do with that. “Talk about wanting to kiss someone.”
