New Balance celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and so Joe Freshgoods marks the return of the 1000, a classic running style originally released in 1999. The 1000’s innovative design takes it to another level with design elements taken from the combination of luxury, futurism and street style of the early 2000s. Last month it launched new colourways of this silhouette and now it has been revealed that the next intervention will be with Aimé Leon Dore.
As unveiled by ALD founder and New Balance MADE in USA creative director Teddy Santis, this first look of the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1000 comes equipped with a versatile white and grey colour arrangement that features ALD branding on the tongue, insole and lateral forefoot of the upper. Supported primarily in white, a soft grey tone is included on the ‘N’ logos.
Neither Teddy Santis nor New Balance have revealed when they will be available. Stay tuned for more updates here.
