After two years of building a creative community in the capital, Soho House announces that it will open its doors in Chueca in 2025 and inaugurate the Barcelona Pool House.
Soho House Madrid will be located in the iconic neighbourhood of Chueca, known by many as the Soho of the Spanish capital, and will take the form of a contemporary building divided into seven floors to house exclusive spaces for its members. Two historic buildings connected by a courtyard and conceived as an oasis in the middle of the city. Its interiors propose an attractive contrast between the old and the modern, reviving classic Madrid architecture and dressing up traditional and local art and craftsmanship located in a building dating back to 1880.
From its partnership with Cities Without Houses (CWH), present in 85 locations where it can offer a regular programme of events and experiences, Soho House has been bringing together the most outstanding creative community in Madrid for two years now.
‘We have come to know a group of talented creatives in Madrid over the past two years through our partnership with CWH, and we are excited to grow this community before Soho House Madrid opens its doors in the coming years,’ explains Dominique Bellas, Membership Director of Cities Without Houses.
In addition, Soho House will open the Barcelona Pool House on the historic Avinguda Tibidabo, known for its modernist design. Built in 1900 as a family home, the building will be transformed to focus on wellness with a gym and treatment rooms, an outdoor pool and two floors of club space with bar and restaurant services.
