After blowing the internet away with 530’s IA music video earlier in the week, Ye was quick to return to Instagram to drop a teaser for what promises to be VULTURES The Movie. Sadly, Ye instantly deleted it, but yes, it was a cinematic trailer, of course, also powered by AI.
Following in the aesthetic vein of 530, the new trailer sticks to its black-and-white, retro, dystopian tone, with AI-generated imagery that looks like it’s straight out of a parallel dimension. It’s total visual chaos, a cocktail of cult film and artistic experiment: speeding cars, monstrous creatures and bizarre fights intertwine with The Blues Brothers’ catchy “Peter Gunn Theme”, creating an unnerving, almost surreal atmosphere.
The trailer plays with the language of the most over-the-top movie posters, dazzling us with words like ‘AMAZING!’, ‘SCARY!’, ‘SENSORAMIC!’ and ‘VULGAR!’ (all in capital letters, of course, because everything here is bigger). Each term comes with four exclamation points, like a 60s movie, promising a brutal and out-of-control visual experience.
The teaser doesn’t reveal anything clear about the plot or possible release dates. It just leaves us with more questions than answers, feeding the atmosphere of mystery that Ye seems to have created around himself.
