Thus transforming the Dutch genius into a true style icon.

When the world of art collides with Japanese streetwear, real objects of desire are born. And on this occasion, BAPE has joined forces with the Van Gogh Museum to offer an exquisite collection that pays tribute to one of the most influential artists in history.

A conversation between periods, formats and cultures is thus proposed, where each garment reimagines the visual universe of the Post-Impressionist through the graphic filter of A Bathing Ape, integrating with excellence some of his most renowned works such as ‘Self-portrait with grey felt hat’ (1887), ‘Sunflowers’ (1889), or ‘Almond tree in blossom’ (1890).

In addition, the iconic Shark Hoodie is revisited through Van Gogh‘s strokes, dressed in a new Oil Painting Camo print that translates his brushstrokes into the renowned camouflage. The offer is completed with T-shirts, long sleeves and sweatshirts that act as a bridge between the world of fine art and urban culture, which will be available from 31 May at bape.com.
