Nike redefines the future of footwear with the new 3D-printed Air Max 1000

Nike is taking innovation in sports footwear to new heights by partnering with a promising German start-up specialising in 3D printing, recently recognised for its collaboration with HUGO on the launch of the HUGO FORWARD loafers. This alliance has now given rise to a brand new silhouette that reinvents the legacy of the iconic Air Max series from a futuristic perspective: the revolutionary Air Max 1000 model.

This new design challenges traditional conventions by being manufactured in a single piece using 3D printing, eliminating the need for laces and adopting an elastic structure that wraps around the foot with precision and comfort. Despite its bold innovation, the spirit of Air Max remains intact, reflected in the incorporation of a visible air unit, a clear evocation of the iconic Air Max 90, a gesture that connects with the brand’s rich historical archive.

With a firm commitment to sustainability, the Air Max 1000 has been crafted from recyclable materials, consolidating its profile as an advanced and conscious design experiment. This exclusive edition will be available in black on Nike’s digital platform from 19 August, in a highly limited run aimed at collectors and enthusiasts of innovation in footwear.

Paris Saint-Germain and Nike have teamed up to bring back the legendary T90 jersey from the 2004–2005 season.
