The shoot began in early 2025, four years after the last episode. It is about to wrap. Casey Bloys, CEO of HBO, confirmed it after the Emmys: “It will be in spring. There’s no exact date yet.” This confirms that the new season of Euphoria will arrive in 2026.
The first two seasons followed Rue (Zendaya) in her struggle with addiction. Around her, Jules, Cassie, Lexi, Nate and Maddie lived through parties, break-ups and excess. In the new instalment there will be a time jump, meaning we will see the characters as adults.
The cast is returning almost in full. Colman Domingo, Eric Dane, Alanna Ubach, Martha Kelly, Dominic Fike and Chloe Cherry are still in play. Storm Reid, Nika King, Barbie Ferreira and Austin Abrams will not return.
Even so, the new additions are strong: Rosalía, Sharon Stone, Kadeem Hardison, Priscilla Delgado, Anna Van Patten, Marshawn Lynch, Toby Wallace, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Darrell Britt-Gibson and James Landry Hebert.
In the music department, Labrinth once again signs the soundtrack, this time joined by Hans Zimmer.
The third season of Euphoria will premiere in spring 2026.
