The Parisian firm launches C+, a line that takes the concept of carewear to another level: garments that moisturise, balance and regenerate the skin while you wear them.
It may seem a little strange—because it is—but Coperni, together with HeiQ, the pioneering Swiss textile biotechnology company, has just invented a fabric with active ingredients. Each gram of this fabric contains up to 140,000 colony-forming units (CFU/g) of live beneficial bacteria, released through a controlled diffusion system. It is an elastic fabric with encapsulated probiotics and prebiotics that, activated by body heat and movement, release microorganisms that balance the microbiome and strengthen the skin barrier.
Dermatologically tested on human skin, the formula has been proven to be safe and environmentally friendly, as it is bio-based, made from recycled and non-GMO sources, and complies with the highest international safety and sustainability certifications. Although its intensity may decrease after 40 washes, the effects remain visible and continue to deliver results over time.
Directed by Daniel Sannwald & starring Paloma Elsesser, the ‘Wear the Difference’ campaign avoids showing the garments because the technology in them is invisible. Instead, it reveals what is really important: the skin and the body, which is who Coperni’s new C+ line is for.
Arnaud and Sébastien have been demonstrating for years that technology, far from giving fashion a colder, more robotic and impersonal look, makes it more human. From Bella Hadid’s spray-on dress to the Swipe bags they have created over the seasons—such as the Air Swipe Bag weighing only 30 grams and their Meteorite Swipe Bag—they have made technological innovation their own language of textile design. Now, with C+, the technological revolution of the season becomes silent: we cannot see it or hear it, but we can touch it with our own skin.
