The latest from Aimé Leon Dore proves that well-executed nostalgia continues to win

Aimé Leon Dore presents its SS26 collection with that infallible blend of nostalgia, sport and sophistication that defines the brand. The New York label once again constructs a narrative where American preppy style, retro tailoring and urban culture coexist naturally. What’s more, this season arrives with a more pronounced chromatic energy and collaborations that expand its universe.

On the one hand, the partnership with New Balance introduces a capsule collection of activewear in cobalt blue and neon green. The palette elevates the visual intensity without disrupting the harmony of the ensemble. Highlights include a technical running vest with reflective logos and a blue mesh hoodie. At the same time, the balance between performance and vintage aesthetics remains strong. In addition, the collection incorporates new Yankees and Mets merch, a direct nod to the New York DNA that has always been present in the ALD universe.

On the other hand, Technics takes its universe beyond clothing. In this line, an intarsia beanie and a graphic jersey are part of the capsule. But the real star is the green and gold turntable, released in a limited edition. A piece designed for those who understand music as a pair.

In terms of tailoring, vintage and classic styles continue to feature, with herringbone fabrics, earth-toned tweeds and thin stripes reminiscent of baseball uniforms. For example, there is a white suit with a double-breasted jacket and matching trousers that perfectly encapsulates this elegant yet relaxed look. There is also a dark grey suit paired with a T-shirt featuring the work of Greek artist Alekos Fassianos, a nod to Santis’ roots. And to balance out all the retro aesthetics, there are jackets and technical pieces with Gore-Tex, designed for everyday wear and bad weather.

Knitwear once again plays a major role in the collection. There are zip-up sweatshirts, comfortable and basic trousers in yellow, light blue, red and turquoise. The jumpers are thicker and have a pronounced weave, which makes the layers look more substantial and striking.
