Simone Rocha’s new collection with adidas was presented in London and combines sportswear with a more romantic and eye-catching style. In short, it’s as if gym clothes were dressed up for an elegant party. The idea is to combine the practicality of adidas with the delicate, feminine touch that characterises the designer.
The collection includes sports jackets with pearls, athletic bloomer shorts and T-shirts with the classic adidas three stripes, but with ruffles. There are also tulle dresses, leotards and satin shorts. Everything retains its sportswear base, but with details such as bows, lace and embroidery that give it a more special and unusual look.
One detail that stands out is the logo. They combined the adidas symbol with Simone Rocha’s signature bow. This new design appears on dresses, knee-high socks and large weekend bags. The shoes include Mary Jane styles with bow-shaped laces, ballerina-style trainers with crystals on the heel and other styles with small pearl details.
The accessories follow the same idea, with bags with large bows, totes with adidas logos, pearl headbands and even glittery hair clips. In short, it is a collection that takes comfortable, sporty clothing and turns it into something more eye-catching and delicate, while remaining functional. It will be available in autumn through Simone Rocha and adidas.
