The legendary Lauryn Hill takes centre stage in the new Spring/Summer 2026 campaign by Denim Tears. The label opts for a striking black-and-white image that captures the American singer and actress in a refined yet powerful aesthetic, reinforcing the connection between music and fashion that Hill has embodied for decades. In the photograph, she wears key pieces from the collection, including a denim jacket and matching jeans featuring the brand’s signature cotton wreath motif—one of its most recognisable symbols.
The styling follows an elegant and relaxed approach, incorporating a button-up shirt beneath the jacket and tinted sunglasses that lend an air of mystery. While certain details—such as a possible matching hat—remain unclear, the overall look conveys strong visual coherence and symbolic depth. Denim Tears continues its visual narrative rooted in African diasporic history and its influence on contemporary culture, using seemingly simple garments to tell layered stories.
Behind the brand is Tremaine Emory, who founded Denim Tears in 2019 and has built a project with a distinct identity within the industry. His career includes a notable tenure as creative director of Supreme between 2022 and 2023, as well as collaborations with key figures such as Virgil Abloh, Ye and Frank Ocean.
The Spring/Summer 2026 collection will be available from 17 April via the brand’s official website.
