Football is much more than a sport in Brazil, it’s a lifestyle. And it’s been while since clubs’ jerseys have become a symbol of urban culture on the streets across the country.
The neighborhood of São Paulo hosts the new Collection of the National Selection of Brazil through an editorial by the collective VARIOSCORRE.
To celebrate the identity of Brazilian communities, the collective VariosCorre, in partnership with Nike and upcoming talents from Capão Redondo neighborhood in São Paulo, showcase the authentic Brazilian style with the new Brazil National Team Jersey.
100 years ago, Brazil hosted and won the Copa América for the first time in the history of the country. That trophy was the main inspiration for the new “O TEAM BRASILEIRO” collection, which brings back the white color that used to be on the Brazil football jersey back then.
Paying tribute to all that heritage, the creative collective combined modern and retro trends through a disruptive but classic styling, which blends tailoring shapes with technological streetwear. This seems to have perfectly expressed the crossover between fashion, football and streetweat that is dominating the contemporary aesthetic.
O “TEAM BRASILEIRO” selected for the images is composed of stylists, rappers, dancers, psychologists, historians and piano teachers, a representation full of self-esteem and creativity made of young and creative minds that look out for their communities with pride and a collective spirit.
Photographs are the responsibility of our beloved Amanda Adasz.
The full collection is available on Nike.com and the Brazil National Football Team will debut the new kit on pitch in the first Copa América match against Bolivia, in São Paulo.
