Samuel Ross’ industrial brand allies with Dr. Martens to create the definitive remake of the classic 1460 boots. The silhouette is built on a perfect balance of traditional British tailoring and workwear elements to establish itself as the new must for the footwear showcase.
These new 1460 minimalists are inspired by British youth culture and the social climate. The deconstruction and workwear approach of the Ross house, through elements such as the replacement of traditional eyelets with the side zipper, gives the shoe a great utilitarian accent.
The dual-branded silicone zipper and embossed ACW* heel outline the military look of these boots that ‘celebrate the structural form of an icon’. The result is a marriage of new construction techniques and patterns. For, as Darren McKoy, Director of Dr. Martens, says, Samuel Ross is the master of the art of refinement, and he demonstrated this in the 1460s through his wonderful creative lens.
The A-COLD-WALL* x Dr. Martens 1460 Remastered will be available on the Dr. Martens website and in several selected stores on July 25.
