A trash bag for €1,400… but from Balenciaga

The world’s most expensive trash bag is by Balenciaga and has been designed by Demna Gvasalia. Unveiled during Paris Fashion Week, the Trash Pouch is part of the FW22 collection.

Demna continues to challenge the boundaries of fashion and exalt the beauty of decadence by elevating the everyday to the highest level of exclusivity. Now it’s the turn of the Trash Pouch, a trash bag turned handbag.

“I couldn’t miss the opportunity to make the world’s most expensive trash bag because… who doesn’t like a scandal in fashion? Who doesn’t like a scandal in fashion?” says the designer.

Made from supple calfskin, this new Balenciaga accessory is available in black, black and yellow, blue and white and red. For a more “exclusive” touch, a delicate shiny layer has been added throughout, while the logo is subtly printed on the front.
