adidas launches its own circular garment and footwear repair system

adidas follows in Zara’s footsteps and launches exclusively in the UK its own circular platform for the repair of second-hand clothing. This initiative will be implemented in partnership with the British company specialised in offering care and repair services for garments and accessories, The Seam.

The new service developed in collaboration with The Seam is already available under the title ‘Choose to Repair’. The initiative includes cleaning and/or repair of shoes; repair of bags and accessories; repair of specialised outdoor equipment; repair of sportswear; or replacement of zips.

The aim of this initiative is to keep ‘your product in working order for longer’, thanks to the ‘adidas repair and care service offered by The Seam’, according to the multinational. In order to continue using worn-out garments and footwear, ‘only minor repairs are needed’.
