Reaching back into its early 90s archives, adidas Originals is teaming up with Manchester United to present a collection of retro football shirts.
The match was created to celebrate the legacy of the football team as well as the relationship between adidas and MUFC. Nine new pieces have been designed, including a vintage MUFC crest and the adidas shamrock. A two-piece Superstar tracksuit takes centre stage in a collection of T-shirts and jerseys.
“Our association with the club goes back a long way. So we wanted to take the opportunity to reflect some of that history and bring a little piece of that heritage to the present day. And we’ve done that with a retro collection that celebrates the relationship and the culture that surrounds it,” says Inigo Turner, adidas design director.
You can already find the adidas Originals x MUFC collection in the three stripes brand’s shops as well as in the football team’s stores.
