AFTERHOMEWORK SS20

The young designers have managed to elevate their Afterhomework label (@afterhomeworkparis) on the first day of Paris Fashion Week.

The handkerchiefs, kitchen cloths and tablecloths left their usual domestic places to become part of trousers, dresses and vests. The patchwork pieces were the protagonists throughout the show. However, it doesn’t come as a surprise, as we could already see a preview of these original garments in their SS20 lookbook.

The pastel colours accentuated the change of the French brand towards a much more feminine style. Asymmetrical dresses that maintain their shape thanks to spaghetti straps also stand out.

Although they still maintain their usual streetwear appearance, this collection reinterprets the current masculine fashion, or even unisex, where the wide and asymmetrical silhouettes challenge the limits of the brand.

The duo, committed to recycling, shows us that everything can be reused – even kitchen cloths.
