For us, along with Marine Serrre, it was one of the most awaited fashion shows. AFTERHOMEWORK (@afterhomeworkparis), a project led by the young Pierre Kaczmarek and Elena Mottola, has presented its SS19 proposal at #PFW.
As usual, the collection moved between the sophistication of haute couture, street and a certain utilitarian aesthetics – very much so in recent seasons. The deconstruction had a protagonist role in the feminine pieces, a destructuring of the design that coexisted perfectly with the infinite length trousers and the mix of fabrics.
The game of gathers and panels combined with performance / gym aesthetics has created a dialogue that is fashion in itself. A collection that does not have many prints and focuses mainly on tailoring demonstrating that age is not at all related to good taste. As for the graphics, the ironies of Polo have made us crazy.
The proposal also paid a lot of attention to accessories and footwear, where Converse and Nike mixed with girly sandals.
