Inspired by the second instalment of the ‘Dune’ saga directed by Denis Villeneuve.
Strengthening his close relationship with the jewellery house and taking advantage of the premiere of ‘Dune: Part Two’, Thimothée Chalamet has created a unique piece of jewellery. This is not the first time he has worked on such an item, as he also created a very special creation for the red carpet of ‘Wonka’.
This time it is a rotating necklace whose combination of pieces allows for up to 900 different perspectives of inlaid gemstones: orange, yellow and brown diamonds that pay homage to the colours of Arrakis. In addition, inverted diamonds have been set to simulate the rough textures of the Dune topography, while blue sapphires and spinels are inspired by the eyes of the Fremen tribe.
“Cartier creations have always been my first choice for important moments and collaborating on this project has only reinforced that idea. I think Marie-Laure and I found a way to evoke the desert and the harsh beauty of Dune in the Cartier style; a wonderful opposite to the caramel-coloured charm of our first collaboration together,” says the acclaimed actor.
