All set for the Mallorca Live Festival

This Friday Mallorca Live Festival is back in style and will celebrate its fifth edition from 24 to 26 June 2022.

This Friday Mallorca Live Festival is back in style and will celebrate its fifth edition from 24 to 26 June 2022 at the former Aquapark in Calvià.

This is the most international edition to date, with an eclectic and quality proposal regardless of genres, musical styles or geographical origin, which includes names such as Muse, Christina Aguilera, C. Tangana, Editors, Franz Ferdinand, Justice, Supergrass, Metronomy, Izal or The Blessed Madonna, among many others.

British producer and member of the band The XX, Jamie XX, is the ideal candidate to replace Peggy Gou, who will not be able to attend the festival for family reasons. As the Korean DJ explained in a statement: “I have had to return to Korea due to an urgent family situation, I am so sorry. Mallorca Live Festival, I have to cancel my performance this weekend. My team is talking to the organization and I will try to come back in 2023”.

Also joining the festival is the French-born but Barcelona-based artistic duo and owner of the Flyance Records label KAS:ST to take the place of Ela Minus, who will not be able to participate in Mallorca Live Fest for logistical reasons.

You can check all the updated schedules, including the 5 Happening! stage, by clicking here.

Happening! Market

More than 30 stalls and food trucks will shape the new food court and design market Happening! Market. Vinyls, vintage clothing, make-up and glitter, temporary tattoos, jewellery and local crafts are some of the products that can be purchased in this area.

Among the gastronomic offerings, local products will also have their place with 100% local pastries from Forn Santo Cristo and smash-style hamburgers prepared in coca de patata, a traditional sweet from Valldemossa, from Double Take.

There will also be stands and food trucks in the Chill Out area and Estrella Damm Stage 1, as well as in the VIP area with the restaurant El Bandarra de Palma.

Cashless wristband system

This year, Mallorca Live Festival returns with its cashless payment system. With the access wristband you will be able to pay inside the venue and this will be the only way to pay inside the festival for food, drinks or merchandising. At Happening! Market there may be other forms of payment.

The wristband can be topped up, paying in cash or by card, at the different points set up inside the venue, as well as through www.mallorcalivemusic.com/cashless or the Mallorca Live app. Through the website or the app you can also request a refund of any money not spent once the festival has finished.

Public transport and taxis, the best way to get there

Given the volume of people who will be travelling to the old Calvià Aquapark from all over the island (up to 28,000 people are expected per day), the festival has organised a plan to encourage the use of buses and public transport. In addition, there will be many traffic restrictions in the area; such as exit 14 of the MA-1, which will be restricted and redirected to exit 13 Palmanova.

In addition, the Local Police of Calvià will close the section of Camí Porrassa between the Pirates Adventure roundabout and roundabout 8, on the 24th and 25th from 17:00 to 6:30; and on the 26th from 17:00 to 4:30.

Shuttle buses and taxis with closed fares

Thanks to TIB, the public will be able to get to the festival from Palma with one of the shuttle buses that will be leaving from inside the Intermodal Station (Dock 8) to the venue from 17:00 every 20 minutes. This same bus service will be active again from 00:00 until 06:30 from the venue to the Intermodal Station. The bus stop for both arrivals and departures is located on Carrer de Góngora and in front of Pirates Adventure.

In addition, the regular bus services with stops near the venue will have a reinforced service: both the number of buses available and their frequency will be increased. The L104, departing in front of the Intermodal and arriving at the venue itself; and the L123, between Cas Catalá and Santa Ponsa and stopping near the venue, are the best options for arriving by public transport. Other lines that stop near the venue are the L105, L106, L123 and LA11.

A bus service will also be provided by Lemon Tours, with departures from Arenal, Pto. Pollença, Pto. Alcudia, Can Picafort, Inca, Binissalem, Cala Ratjada, Manacor, Pollença, Campanet, Sta. Margalida, Muro, Sa Pobla and Palma (Carrer Miquel Lladó-Carrer Eusebio Estada and Pol. Levante-S’Escollera), and with a price from 16€ round trip. Lemon Tours will offer this service each way as long as there is a minimum of 40 people.

Thanks to Palma Radio Taxis, the journey between the city and the festival will have a fixed price of €25 from the Paseo Marítimo (at the taxi ranks of Varadero (Moll Aantic), Tryp Palma Bellver and Puerto de Palma). And thanks to Radio Taxi de Calvià Sociedad Cooperativa, the return journey between the festival and Palma will have a fixed price of €25 from the taxi ranks in front of the Western Aqua Park and in front of Pirates Adventure to any point on the Paseo Marítimo. In order to enjoy this special price, you must show your validated wristband or festival ticket and mention the promotion before starting the journey.

The island of Mallorca

In the middle of the Mediterranean Sea we find a paradise that has it all. A wonderful island that, in addition to its magnificent coves and crystal-clear waters, hides beautiful inland villages full of history. Mallorca has a unique gastronomy that mixes products from the land and the sea. A dream place where you can practice all kinds of outdoor activities. An island to enjoy and visit all year round.
