The acclaimed designer will join forces with numerous industry creatives to reimagine some of his most iconic archival pieces.
Pharrell Williams, Sofia Coppola, Takashi Murakami and Tremaine Emory are some of the names that appear on the exclusive list of collaborators that Marc Jacobs himself has meticulously chosen for the anniversary of his eponymous brand. They will be the ones who, through their unique visions, will bring to life a selection of limited edition pieces rescued from the archive.
The news was confirmed through a fun montage featuring the different creatives captured by photographer Nick Newold and a video on Instagram in which they congratulate Jacobs on this special occasion.
The list is rounded out by Alastair McKimm, editor-in-chief of i-D; Pat McGrath, renowned make-up artist; Anna Sui and Stephen House, fashion designers; and the brands Vaquera, Cactus Plant Flea Market and, of course, Heaven.
The pieces will be available only through the official Marc Jacobs website in the coming weeks. Subscribe and turn on notifications if you don’t want to miss any details about the launch.
