The artificial intelligence revolution now alters Weekday’s system, which channels those renderings through the collection entitled “ALTER EGO”, inspired by digital designs and multidimensional personalities.
The Swedish urban fashion brand that fuses youth culture and streetwear through the aesthetic imagery of the 90s and 2000s, now proposes to explore in this proposal what makes human beings unique in a virtually overstimulated world, as well as to inspire its consumers to “trust their instincts and live their own expression”.
Weekday launches an edition of 20 pieces that evoke the whole universe of algorithms, built from deconstructed denim, structural nylon and light layers with which to generate matching sets, and create new looks. A whole series of garments and accessories for cool girls who revisit the codes of the brand, between contrasting colors, unexpected layers and hidden details.
“With artificial intelligence on the rise, what makes humans unique? This collection manifests our whimsy, personal traits and complex consciousness,” explains designer Alice Shulman. “Some say ‘seeing is believing’; in this case, wearing is believing. And there is no right way to wear it.”
Within the “ALTER EGO” series, patterns such as asymmetries, openings or deconstructions are diluted, among which stand out a series of garments such as an off-shoulder maxi dress, a cropped linen blazer and jeans with a folding drape that transforms into a skirt.
