Riccardo Tisci has built on the London brand’s traditional foundations to create a collection with avant-garde finishes ready for the new social stage of 2022. Spring according to Burberry is dressed in soft shades of camel and sand. The proposal begins, advances and ends with a clear idea of reconstructing the original details and taking them to other, wilder and more primitive levels.
The show takes us through different spaces that blend harmoniously with Tisci’s designs. It is all part of a single purpose and invites us to experience this multiversal rehearsal. “For me, this presentation is the freedom of our imagination: how dreams come to life. I wanted to move through a series of immersive spaces, each one special and inspired by its sound, texture and experience,” said the Burberry creative director.
The house’s signature trench coat sports a new look with casual, versatile patterns. The entire collection seems to be set in that moment of awakening after a long slumber. We come back to life and it’s time to take charge again without fear. Riccardo Tisci takes risks with voluminous dimensions and updated patterns. Experimental swimming costumes, exaggerated lapels and unfinished hems are also seen. Abstract and symmetrical prints are an extra visual appeal to the impeccable SS22 collection.

This project welcomes a new accessory with an elliptical silhouette, the Rhombi bag which promises to be a real hit. In keeping with Burberry’s heritage, the Londoner takes the Olympia bag and elevates it to the present day. In addition, the house’s creative director has shaped a competing shoe for 2022 in calfskin leather that encompasses square-toed sandals and the iteration of the sock boot with personal detailing.
