The paparazzi phenomenon, recently explored by other brands such as Bottega Veneta and Gucci, is now reinterpreted by Aries, which captures the spirit of fake reportage and/or metanarrative through the lens of photographer Adrian Samson.
The brand now presents the lookbook for its SS24 campaign, which evokes a satirical vision of contemporary images of the ‘paps’ reflected in moving sequences illustrating their elevated designs that pay homage to the iconic style of The Sopranos.
All this fictional imagery is now channelled into real life through pieces such as Hawaiian shirts combined with soft-grunge pieces like lace waistcoats, fluffy knitwear and oversized shirts.
Elsewhere, the collection fuses elements of Americana, Y2K aesthetics and tech fashion, with printed and distressed denim, relaxed jumpers and mesh styles, combined with loose silhouettes and a Matrix-inspired black and neon green colour palette. Finally, the iconic “J’adoro Aries” slogan returns to stamp and elevate accessories, jeans and shirts.
