Aristocrazy Affairs is a commitment to experimentation through art as a free and creative space in which to cultivate the sensitivity that characterises the brand. An annual programme of meetings, installations, exhibitions, visits to creative spaces and workshops. Aristocrazy Affairs kicks off with the creation and presentation of the first artefact and exhibition of the project, “Madrid Mia” by the photographer Irene Zottola.
Aristocrazy, the jewellery brand from Madrid, presents Aristocrazy Affairs, a proposal for experimenting with art as a free and creative space in which to cultivate the sensitivity that characterises the brand. A free and conscious sensibility that inhales from other disciplines and exhales its own way of being, from boldness, freshness, light and innocence.
To give shape to this first programme, Aristocrazy has invited a multidisciplinary creative advisory team to join the project, made up of fashion designer and stylist Elena Vilabrille; architect and co-founder of Casa Antillón Marta Ochoa, and founder of WeCollect Enrique del Rio.
Three professionals who will accompany Aristocrazy in the exploration of creative territories to stimulate the creation of synergies with art, fashion, design or literature, disciplines with which Aristocrazy Affairs wants to explore creativity in the full breadth of the word.
The first Aristocrazy Affairs programme will be dedicated to Madrid and its evocative creativity, the city that has seen the birth and allowed the brand to grow and evolve for a little over a decade now, and which will take shape through different activities:
- DATING WITH. Inspirational talks with avant-garde artists/creators.
- OPEN STUDIO. Guided visits for the brand’s internal team to art, creation, fashion and craft workspaces.
- CROSSED-OVER LABS. Joint experimentation laboratories between multiple creators, Aristocrazy’s in-house team.
- LIMITED. Creation of limited edition objects and pieces with collaborating artists.
- EXTENDED ARCHITECTURE. Ephemeral architecture projects that reinterpret Affairs spaces.
- LOOKING FOR. The relentless search for the best talent.
A multidisciplinary programme that will run until the end of May 2023 and will include the participation of artists and creators such as Lorena Madrazo, designer and founder of Appsolesencia; Rubén Gómez, Creative Director of BIIS and consultant for WOW Concept, Martxel Montero, stylist and creative director; Ariadna Chez, visual artist.
Madrid Mía by Irene Zottola. First Aristocrazy Affairs artefact
The launch of Affairs is accompanied by the realisation of Aristocrazy Affairs’ first “artefact”. The word artefact originates from the Latin arte factus, meaning “made with art”. It is a device created for a specific purpose, which in the visual arts refers to one endowed with artistic content.
For Aristocrazy Affairs, artefact is a support for the material expression of its philosophy, a set of pieces, an object made with the aim of disseminating its desire to contribute to the creation of a creative ecosystem. The author of the first artefact was the photographer Irene Zottola. The result is the audiovisual piece Madrid Mía, created from photographs and texts.
A dialogue with her hometown, where she not only questions how everyday life goes in the capital of Madrid, but also pays tribute to the place where she belongs. The exhibition Madrid Mía by Irene Zottola can be visited from 1 to 19 December from 16h to 20h in the exhibition space of the Suárez Group offices in Calle Conde de Peñalver 47.
