AVAVAV expands its frontiers and launches into the metaverse

AVAVAV’s Beate Karlsson has decided to enter the metaverse with a collection of three disruptive boots.

Being able to work in a totally digital way is what has allowed Karlsson to reach new levels of design impossible in traditional, physical fashion. Thus three new versions of his iconic “monster” shoes are born, which will be presented to the public during Metaverse Fashion Week with Decentraland.

“I wanted to extend the ideas of our collections in ways that are problematic in real life. For example, I wanted to create an extended version of our toe shoes that hasn’t been possible in a physical way,” says the creative director.

The pieces will be available for purchase as NFTs from 6 April.
