Bad Bunny’s album ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ is Spotify’s most played album in 2023

This is not the first time Bad Bunny has reached this milestone; his previous album, “YHLQMDLG,” was also the most played album in 2020 with 3.3 billion streams on Spotify. In addition, his most recent album, “Nobody Knows What’s Gonna Happen Tomorrow,” became the most played album in a single day on Spotify earlier this year.

“Un Verano Sin Ti” has not only conquered 2023, but also made history by becoming the Spotify album with the most streams of all time, accumulating an impressive total of 15.177 million streams as of December 19, 2023.

Bad Bunny, at 29 years old, has set significant milestones in the music industry, being the first non-English speaking act to top the playlists on Spotify. Five of his songs, including “Me Porto Bonito,” “Tití Me Preguntó,” “Callaita,” “Ojitos Lindos” and “Efecto”, have surpassed the one billion streams mark.

In addition to his achievements on streaming platforms, Bad Bunny won the Grammy for Best Urban Music Album and became the first Latin male artist to be named Artist of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards. His album “El Último Tour Del Mundo” made history as the first all-Spanish album to top the Billboard 200, and “Un Verano Sin Ti” received the first Grammy nomination for Album of the Year for a Spanish-language album.
