Balenciaga adds a new silhouette to its summer sandal offerings

Balenciaga’s iconic resort-inspired sandal is updated for this season in a more technical, minimalist style.

 

Demna has proven to be a pioneer in the normcore trend: elevating everyday items and garments to a higher level of luxury. This is how he makes all Balenciaga pieces automatically become objects of desire. He has done this with Crocs, football scarves or souvenir T-shirts, for example.

Now it is repeating its strategy with the new Tourist Sandal. An ideal choice for the summer season. Comfortable and sporty, it takes inspiration from 90s running shoes. Featuring velcro straps with and ‘Sporty B’ logo detailing, while the Balenciaga name appears on the toe and heel strap.
