Demna Gvasalia projects a universe of gothic romanticism in which to find everything from streetwear inspiration, to tailoring or haute couture / “protocouture” dresses. The brand‘s commitment to responsible production is represented this season with recycled denim, leather, fine fabrics, and embroidery. But also through innovation in materials: plant-based leather is made from a blend of cactus-derived fibers and biological polymers. 95.2% of the plain and printed fabrics in the collection are certified sustainable, according to the show notes.

The silhouettes hug the body, but at the same time flow with it through oversized lines. At the same time, garments and accessories such as the “Space Shoe“, constructed from a single mold of the classic derby, are updated. Making their debut are the “Hard Crocs” with a cyber-gothic aesthetic, and the “The Defender“: new super-chunky sneakers with an extreme tread.
