Balenciaga has done this before in Q3 2021, thanks to the iconic show starring The Simpsons and the hype caused by Demna’s looks at the MET Gala.
Balenciaga has made many moves to stay at the top of the Index list. From the signing of Justin Bieber dressed as a monk to the launch of the Trooper silhouette that Kanye West and Future fell in love with. All of this without leaving behind her entry into the Metaverse through a new business unit in which she seeks to explore commerce within this totally digital universe. Demna knows very well how to play his cards, reinterpreting the fashion house’s iconic Neo Classic bag, which became a bestseller.
It is closely followed by Gucci, in second place, thanks to the presentation of its collection held on Hollywood Boulevard and its collaboration with Gucci x The North Face 2.0. Prada manages to move up one position to third place, with its nylon Slip-On boots standing out above all its designs.
And although all signs pointed to Louis Vuitton taking a share of the podium, the brand directed by Virgil Abloh came in fourth place after presenting its collection in Miami.
