Balmain Hair takes a radical turn and dives into the world of film with an epic four-part visual campaign entitled ‘L’Année de la Muse’. Over the next year, the brand will roll out a digital series that chronicles the journey of a Parisian woman, whose hair changes reflect her personal evolution as she moves through the different phases of life.
Directed by Bobby Afonso and photographed by Sebastian Faena, each episode will capture the transformation of the protagonist through a series of sophisticated hairstyles, created with exclusive Balmain Hair products.
The first episode, entitled ‘Muse D’Amour’, or ‘The Muse of Love’, kicks off the series of short films that will be released throughout the year on the brand’s social media channels. In this instalment, the protagonist is seen basking in the warmth of the sun as she experiences the first moments of a deep and passionate love.
‘This chapter explores the beauty and vulnerability of love, where hair becomes a symbol of the authentic connection and passion that defines this stage. Our muse is completely surrendered to her feelings. Her hair, soft and moving, reflects the purity and intensity of her emotions,’ the brand explained.
Alongside the campaign, the brand is also launching three new products, including the ‘Couleurs Couture’ illuminating mascara, the ‘Pince À Cheveux Imperiale’ burgundy hair clips and the ‘Muse D’Amour’ styling set, which will be available from 27 January on the brand’s website.
Don’t miss ‘Muse D’Amour’, the first episode of this fascinating visual series.
