Banksy’s last work of art has been demolished

Street artist Banksy was finishing his latest work ‘Morning is Broken’ in an abandoned farmhouse in Kent, and shortly after it was demolished by a construction crew.

Street artist Banksy was finishing his latest work ‘Morning is Broken’ in an abandoned farmhouse in Kent, and shortly after it was demolished by a construction crew.

The mural showed the silhouette of a boy with his arms outstretched opening some iron curtains next to a cat, as the artist showed in a post on Instagram and on his website. George Caudwell, one of the contractors in charge of the construction crew that tore down the cottage, recounted that none of the workers were aware of what happened and that it was shocking for them to find out.

“We started demolishing it yesterday. The owner of the land saw us do it and he didn’t know either,” Caudwell said. In just a month, it is already the second Banksy work to be removed in Kent, as happened with his ‘Valentine’s Day Mascara’ mural that was moved to the Dreamland theme park.

In case you missed it, Banksy sued Guess for stealing his artwork.
