Bee Line by Billionaire Boys Club and iconic boot brand Timberland present their eighth joint collaboration. Through it, the great cultural impact of Timberland’s characteristic 6-inch boot over the years is highlighted and reinterpreted on this occasion. It is inspired by the intrinsic sense of resilience that underlies big cities.
The apparel, footwear and accessories in this new joint collection are also inspired by Timberland‘s historic heritage; a passion for the outdoors and functionality. The colour palette features earth tones interspersed with bold pops of colour and prints inspired by the vintage aesthetic of the 1990s.
On the footwear side, the original model of the 6-inch Rubber Toe boot from the first joint collaboration between Bee Line and Timberland in November 2020 is reinterpreted; this time also including new women’s sizes.
In keeping with the original model, the new Bee Line x Timberland® Premium 6-inch Rubber Toe Waterproof Boot features a number of technical innovations such as leather sourced from Leather Working Group-qualified tanneries; thanks to good environmental practices or the waterproof TimberDry™ membrane. The eye-catching rubber sole in three different colours (olive green, electric orange or ink black) offers additional protection and grip with every step, adding a touch of urban style to every look.
This sense of nostalgia is also evident in the Bee Line x Timberland® Fleece Jacket; made from 100% recycled fleece and featuring an original geometric print design that was popular in the 90s. Other highlights include the Bee Line x Timberland® Logo Hoodie and long-sleeved T-shirts in new colours. The entire collection is inclusive and comes in a variety of sizes.
Finally, accessories include a knitted balaclava – an on-trend accessory – and an olive green suede fanny pack.
The new collection also features a campaign starring New York music artist Jadakiss (who has also designed a line of boots for Timberland) and multidisciplinary New York artist Aurora Anthony. The campaign nods to the affinity urbanites feel for the brand’s iconic boot; for many it is a symbolic representation of the tenacity needed to succeed in a big city.
A classic New York pizzeria becomes the perfect setting to show a visual appreciation of the variety of characters a person might come across in this city; all of them eager to get the ‘Bee Line Special’. An allegory of real New Yorkers who know all the secrets the city has to offer. The video also shows a deep and impactful conversation between Jadakiss and Aurora Anthony, both dressed in the basics of the collection.
Bee Line x Timberland will be available from tomorrow exclusively at BBC ICECREAM shops in New York and Miami. From 18 February it will also be available on the Timberland website and in selected outlets.
