Brain Dead and The North Face present their latest collection together. A capsule that starts with the classic pieces from the outwear brand’s archives and reinterprets them with urban graphics and psychedelic details.
The North Face x Brain Dead FW19
Garments such as Nuptse, the iconic Mountain Jacket or Denali from The North Face adopt at the hands of Brain Dead a new aesthetic that embodies the spirit of freedom and creativity typical of the hippy subcultures that populated California back in the 60s and 70s. The effortless and handmade appearance of the graphics of the garments in the collection reveals an attempt to enhance craftsmanship and pure craftsmanship. In fact, it seems that each of the designs has been developed without previous plans, with hand serigraphs and drawings and reworks guided by impulse and intuition. That is precisely the magic of collaboration.
The TNF archives are adorned with a look that takes them more than ever to a streetwear terrain. You’ll find hooded sweatshirts, T-shirts with The North Face logo all-over and causally planted prints. Brain Dead founder Kyle Ng himself says the idea was to re-imagine the expedition concept as a state of mind.
The Brain Dead x The North Face FW19 collection will be available starting Friday, November 29 at Dover Street Market L.A. It will arrive at wearebraindead.com and thenorthface.com, as well as other selected retailers, on December 6.
