“Escapes.” This is the name of Burberry’s new proposal for FW21 that pays tribute to the outside world. It is also Riccardo Tisci’s first menswear collection.
Riccardo Tisci has just presented his first menswear collection FW21 for Burberry under the name “Escapes“. With clear references to the outdoors and getaways, Burberry reworks its classics around these trends. Thus, it dignifies this sense of freedom – which is so lacking nowadays – in a set of adventure-ready garments.
Trench coats and jackets have been redesigned with pleats, panels and bangs to reflect movement and activity. Knitwear and varsity wear are the focus of the collection.
Tailoring work has been elevated to achieve the finest finishes, typical of the British fashion house. The collection shows, therefore, the most classic and traditional patterns along with other more avant-garde ones. This is the case of exaggerated lapels, pants made of lycra and quilted details.
The accessories are also key to understand the collection and to confirm the adventurous style. Oversized totes and umbrellas stand out, as well as different knitted hats with ears and shoes with sculpted soles to act stealthily on any terrain.
The “Escape” collection will go on sale in late fall this year. In the meantime, don’t miss the latest news about Burberry at the link below.
