Attention all those who are planning to travel to the eternal city, Rome, or who happen to be there, because from today you have one more obligatory stop to make there. What is it? Visit the new pop-up store that Camper’s experimental line, Camperlab, has set up in the Italian city.
Located in the legendary Piazza di Spagna and open from 17 December until spring, the space highlights features and elements considered unaesthetic, such as a labyrinth of heating pipes laminated with aluminium foil that runs through the space. The pipes on the exterior wall have been painted pale pink to make them stand out even more, thus highlighting undesirable elements by transforming the worn into something new, revealing the layers and history of the space and making it unique.
In addition, a number of bespoke wooden benches and brightly coloured light fittings have been placed throughout the space at different heights to create a stark contrast to the unpolished look of the rest of the space.
Now that you know about the existence of this pop-up, what better plan than to disconnect and come and discover first-hand the complete Achilles Ion Gabriel collection for Camperlab? Take our advice and, between one monument and the next, soak up the latest trends in this Camper line. We’re sure you’ll love them.
