For the FW22 – 23 season, CAMPERLAB presents its new technical shoe Tossu, which takes its name from an old Finnish rural slang word referring to the slipper or sneaker silhouette.
Designed and made in Spain with a sustainable mindset, Tossu features a strong sporty silhouette with a touch of the outdoors. It combines a rubber outsole that evolves into the upper with a 3D knitted sock made from recycled polyester. Its PU and TPU outsole and insole provide extra grip and cushioning for added comfort.
All of Tossu’s materials are polymer-based and its innovative bonded construction avoids the use of glue, resulting in a waste-free, circular approach that positions it as the brand’s most sustainable silhouette to date. It is also fully recyclable and can be taken back to shops to be turned into playground flooring.
Through a video collaboration with 3D artist Frederik Heyman, known for his work with Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Arca, among others, we can see Tossu’s four different colour combinations for this season: full black; white with contrasting highlights; earth-inspired natural beige and tan; and a two-tone burgundy and blue version.
