Under the name of “The Last Run”, Carlota Barrera defines in her FW22 the label for the moment to relax with friends and a good toast after a long day on the ski slopes.
The name of the collection refers to the last descent in the snow before sunset. A term that serves as a turning point in the ski day, but also a call to action for climate change.
Through craftsmanship and careful production, Carlota Barrera addresses the challenge of industry, designing garments with sustainable production models, reclaimed materials and fibers and products with 2 and 3 lives made in small workshops mostly family-run in Spain, Portugal and the UK.
Once again, the designer stays true to her DNA, presenting functional and timeless pieces. As for the color palette, warm and cold colors merge with black and navy blue. Weather maps and embroidered isothermal lines invade some details of the collection. The brand’s codes are revealed once again in technical suits and the already characteristic tailoring with cut outs, and a layering of warm garments with others such as shorts or short sleeves.
In her FW22, Carlota Barrera strengthens its development by presenting in hybrid format with a digital fashion show in streaming and a physical event in the central neighborhood of Chelsea, where she gathers the Friends & Family of the brand.
