Cecilie Bahnsen presents Hana-bi on her tenth anniversary

The Hana-bi show from Cecilie Bahnsen in Copenhagen opened with a sequence in white, gradually shifting towards silver — a transition Bahnsen uses as a symbol of change. The designer worked with archive materials spanning ten years of design, reinterpreting them in new compositions. This collection features broderie anglaise paired with quilted silk, airy skirts over sequinned trousers, and recognisable silhouettes inverted or reconstructed.

Among the fabrics used are Myrtia organza, Fiama fil coupé and quilted taffeta, all sourced from previous collections. The garments were crafted primarily by hand, following a process guided more by intuition than by seasonal trends. Footwear, in collaboration with ASICS, appeared in white versions embellished with embroidery, metallic foiling and exposed linings.

The runway was set to music by August Rosenbaum and Beth Gibbons. Some guests wore archive pieces, becoming part of the overall image of the event.

Cecilie Bahnsen’s Hana-bi collection is available for purchase directly from the runway or by private appointment at the brand’s new Copenhagen boutique.
