At Paris Men’s Fashion Week, Hedi Slimane made his triumphant return to the Palais de Tokyo with CELINE’s SS23 collection.
Dubbed “DYSFUNCTIONAL BAUHAUS”, the SS23 collection that made its way down the runway was punctuated by the evocative sounds of the New York new-new wave band Gustaf. The chosen soundtrack fitted perfectly with the new concept of masculinity proposed by Hedi Slimane, which dresses tailoring with a punk and avant-garde touch.
In addition to the music, the scenography perfectly expressed Slimane’s design language still in progress. On the clothing side, tailoring, followed by striking leather and denim looks were accented with details such as fringe and sequins. While pointed boots and military footwear gave Celine. a subversive touch.
