Clio Peppiatt: the crystallization of Y2K fashion

This French brand, based in London, updates traditional craftsmanship through a vision of subversive femininity with which it presents a whole series of pieces that have captivated personalities such as Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, Lady Gaga, Jorja Smith, SZA, Miley Cyrus or Kylie Jenner.

The desire to reinvent that traditional craft sticks in the heart of Clio Peppiatt, the creative who began to be interested in the world of tailoring and hand beading from an early age, when her grandmother taught her to embroider. In 2015, she blossomed her own brand in which she germinated all that learning or creative base in the form of avant-garde designs such as her iconic Prism, Vic, Martini or Lucina dresses.

Her dresses are instantly recognizable for their intricate embellishments and embroidery that emerge from Clio Peppiatt’s distinctive hand-woven designs based on sustainable patterns such as vegan leathers or other sustainable fabrics with which the creative director eternalizes the garments.

GLIMPSES OF CRAFTSMANSHIP AND SUSTAINABILITY

Within Pepiatt’s archive, we can even find a collection of wedding dresses as a result of a massive influx that led her to satisfy this growing demand. The designer then integrates into her closet white dresses embellished with rhinestones with which to dress those acts of eternal bond.

This pret-a-porter brand, which celebrates fashion and individuality, reached its climax through the staging of its bags in the second season of ‘The White Lotus’, which was screened by Italian actresses Simona Tabasco and Beatrice Grannò. A key and transcendental moment for the brand that led to the glorification of its Quartz bags, and the subsequent reinterpretation of the silhouette in countless formats and colors.

Una identidad o concepto que ahora vuelve a actualizar para presentar una nueva colección SS23, que refleja esa evolución de los bolsos Heart Quartz de la marca a través de cinco colores distintos “Sunrise”, “Smoke”, “Cherry”, “Ice” y “Candy” adornados con cuentas acrílicas recicladas.
