It’s official now. COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT joins forces with Asics in a new and long-awaited collaboration for SS21. The exclusive launch will feature the reinvention of two drops: Winjob CP303 and TARTHE.
COMME des GARÇONS enters the world of sneakers again with the reinvention of two classics. This time, its sub-label SHIRT has been chosen for this new collaboration with ASICS for SS21.
The ASICS TARTHER is a senaker that enjoys some popularity in Japan. It is actually a reinvention of the elegant 1983 Tiger Racer with updated technologies and details. Thus, COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT has introduced new textures and the best chromatic range with clear retro reminiscences. The text “TARTHER” appears on the heel.
The ASICS Winjob CP303 is a shoe that seems to be designed for kitchen staff. This drop is completed with a velcro strap instead of laces. The Chinese artist Yue Minjun (@yueminjun) has adorned the toe with one of his pink figures, giving the shoe a more refined style with this graphic touch. The white colour samples provide a soft contrast to the translucent non-slip sole.
The ASICS TARTHER x COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT is expected to be launched in February 2021; and the Winjob CP303 in April.
