Comme des Garçons SS19 | A reflection and Air Max Shox

This afternoon at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and in a rather intimate atmosphere, Rei Kawakubo, Comme des Garçons, presented its proposal for the coming season. An ode to maternity and femininity – so on the rise – that it invites reflection.

A colorless proposal that relied on the contrast of black and white that were applied in sets of two oversize pieces, printed overalls, jackets or oversized coats.

In our case, our eyes went directly to the feet when, like a vision, some Nike Shox TL1 appeared in white and also in black adorned with jewellery of “cholo” aesthetic but with the signature that elevated them to the luxury of Comme des Garçons.

All the models wore silver wigs, some pregnant bellies, other chains hanging beneath the layers crawling down the catwalk and finally also many wore clothes of impossible shapes turned into pieces of art.
