Fox has just renewed The Simpsons for two seasons. The series, which premiered in the late 1980s, becomes the longest-running series on television with 34 seasons and 757 episodes in total.
Charlie Collier, CEO of FOX Entertainment, and Matt Groening, creator of the series, have announced that The Simpsons’ adventures are not over yet. Homer will lose a hair, Milhouse will wear contact lenses and Bart will celebrate his tenth birthday for the thirty-third time, as commented by the creator.
The Simpsons will have two more seasons: 33 and 34. Thus, it will become the longest-running series on American television, as it will have 757 episodes in total.
