‘Cyborg Generation’: The documentary directed by Miguel Morillo telling the story of Kai Landre

A personal journey of a young man who decides to expand his sensory boundaries through the integration of technology into his own body.

This is the first content developed by Landia Content in Europe, which will be presented at the Visions Du Réel international film festival in Nyon (Switzerland) and tells the personal story of Kai Landre, the young musical talent who, at just 18 years old, decided to implant technology in his body. The aim? To be able to perceive sounds from space.

This is how the great adventure began, entering an unknown world inhabited by biohackers and clandestine operations. A far from easy path in which he explores his own identity, puts his life at risk and faces an illegal operation that has established him as one of the first cyborgs in the world.

The documentary film, shot between New York and Barcelona, is narrated by Miguel Morillo, who is in charge of documenting these last four years of vital importance in the life of the protagonist. Throughout this time, the director has accompanied Landre on his journey, generating an intimate and precious portrait of his transhumanisation process.

‘Cyborg Generation’ will premiere next April at the 55th edition of the Visions du Réel International Film Festival, where it will compete in the official category.
