Dafresito returns with LONG LIFE 199X, his sonic resurrection

Between the experimental and the visceral, Dafresito’s LONG LIFE 199X finds its point of balance. The rawness of trap meets the emotional intensity of alternative rock, consolidating a sound that’s unmistakably his own. The new project, out on 7 November, feels like a true rebirth.

Fourteen tracks capture the speed of modern life while pursuing an almost mystical search for immortality. Euphoria and the desire to transcend coexist in the same rhythm, as each song moves between the immediate and the eternal, between energy and introspection.

Along the way, Una y Otra Vez reveals his most emo and nostalgic side; melodic guitars and a vampiric aesthetic strengthen his sonic identity. Meanwhile, No Late El Corazón brings freshness and melody, while No Lo Controlo transforms the rage sound into his own language. Finally, La Última Cena closes the album as an elegant and symbolic farewell that encapsulates the entire journey —an ending that, in truth, sounds like a beginning.

The collaborations with Fran Laoren and Goa expand Dafresito’s universe without breaking its cohesion. The production is electric, intense, and cinematic, moving between the most aggressive post-rage and the melancholic atmospheres that define the artist.

LONG LIFE 199X is not just a return —it’s a reaffirmation. Dafresito proves that his sound, his vision, and his aesthetic continue to evolve without losing their essence.
