Daily Paper has unveiled its SS22 lookbook with hip-hop inspired designs. Driven by the rich heritage of African culture wrapped in contemporary designs, Daily Paper has become one of Europe’s fastest growing international brands.
“I really enjoyed working on this collection, as hip-hop has always been, and continues to be, a great inspiration for us,” explains one of its founders, Abderrahmane Trabsini. “The influence of hip-hop and its community had a significant impact on how Daily Paper was born. We started out telling stories about street culture in a blog and then it evolved into what we are today”.
Underground style and nostalgia for the 70s, 80s and 90s permeate every piece in the collection, which includes monogrammed tracksuits that come in oversize format. In addition, the capsule also includes denim dungarees, as well as sleeveless vests and bandana prints. Iconic garments that reference the style of this urban cultural movement.
Daily Paper’s latest release not only focuses on streetwear, but also includes sartorial touches. Among the garments are a blazer and mini skirt, as well as striped two-piece suits. The capsule further celebrates the African diaspora by using colours such as red, black and green in halter neck dresses, satin tracksuits and more.
The SS22 collection will be launched on 14 January on the Daily Paper website, as well as in the brand’s flagship shops in Amsterdam, London and New York.
