Dior meets Alyx | Haute couture joins with utilitarianism

If there’s one thing that caught our attention when Kim Jones made his debut at Dior, it was the buckles that came with his accessories, we knew they were familiar and after the fashion show we knew it was Alyx‘s work (@alyxstudio).

Jones’ SS19 proposal connected perfectly with utilitarian aesthetics and truth, can you think of anyone better than Williams to bring that essence with so little (simple bucklets)?

Caps, backpacks and of course belts were impregnated with Alyx‘s utilitarianism. Rollercoaster buckles were sophisticated connecting with a unique haute couture proposal. A project that brings together two completely different ways of understanding fashion under the same project, but which are totally complementary as has become clear.

These pieces, which promise to reach an infinite hype, will arrive Dior stores by the end of the year. #musthave
