Dior signs a virtual capsule for Gran Turismo 7

For the Gran Turismo 7* video game, Dior has launched innovative parts, skins and customised a vintage car, that of Tomaso Mangusta.

Fashion and gaming meet again thanks to Kim Jones, the creative director of Dior Men. For the Gran Turismo 7* video game, available exclusively on Playstation 4 and Playstation 5, Jones has designed innovative pieces from the maison, “skins”, and customised a vintage car, that of Tomaso Mangusta.

A new edition of the popular racing simulation video game, with new and revamped game modes, options and effects, will be joined from 25 August by the unique pieces of the virtual capsule collection developed by Dior.

Specially conceived by the artistic director of the Dior men’s collections for Gran Turismo 7, this inaugural virtual capsule consists of a succession of garments ranging from a yellow and grey jumpsuit, matching gloves, reinterpreted diorizon shoes and a blue and grey helmet.

This collaboration marks Dior’s entry into the virtual world. Competing brands, such as Gucci, have been at the forefront of this shift. Gran Turismo has experience in this line, having previously turned to Anti Social Social Club to rework the Toyota Supra GT500.

 

Gran Turismo 7 is available now for PlayStation 4 and PS5, while the Dior Collection will be available for download from 25 August.
