Places+Faces, StockX and the Design Museum are launching a merchandising collection to celebrate the “Sneakers Unboxed: Studio to Street” exhibition currently on display at the Design Museum until 24 October.
“Sneakers Unboxed: Studio to Street explores how trainers have become cultural symbols of our time. It traces the design process behind some of the most on-trend trainers. As well as classic models and collaborations that have been the fruit of resale.
With over 200 shoes, the exhibition gives you a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with limited edition releases from Colette, Sean Wotherspoon and Travis Scott, among others. The exhibition also offers a behind-the-scenes look at new recycling and sustainable design practices.
As if that wasn’t enough, sneakerheads are in for a treat. StockX and the Design Museum, together with Places+Faces, a contemporary cultural centre, have designed a merchandising collection. The capsule will be available exclusively at StockX from 3 August.
